[PT] 2022 traz uma novidade importante no que diz respeito à revista publicada pelo grupo “A Antiguidade e sua Recepção”, a RES Antiquitatis. A partir deste ano, a chamada para artigos passa a estar aberta em permanência. Sintam-se, por isso, à vontade para nos enviarem os vossos artigos e/ou recensões!

RES Antiquitatis é um projecto editorial do Centro de Humanidades (CHAM) que procura tornar-se um espaço de reflexão e debate interdisciplinar sobre Antiguidade.

O escopo fundamental da revista consiste na publicação de estudos relativos às várias civilizações da Antiguidade (Mediterrânica(s), Africana(s), Asiática(s)), bem como aos modos diversos com que a Antiguidade foi sendo recebida, percebida e conceptualizada ao longo do tempo. Tal é procurado não apenas pelo seu valor científico intrínseco, mas também pela convicção de que tal esforço se pode vir a tornar, no seu conjunto, um equipamento e dispositivo conceptualmente relevante para o estudo de outros períodos e/ou tópicos/questões históricos/as.

A RES Antiquitatis pretende promover o desenvolvimento dos Estudos de Antiguidade e sua Recepção em Portugal, estando aberta à produção científica quer de académicos/as estabelecidos/as, quer de investigadores/as em início de carreira. Procuramos destacar a investigação produzida dentro e fora de Portugal, pelo que aceitamos artigos em língua portuguesa, inglesa, francesa e espanhola (castelhano). A internacionalização é crucial para a afirmação da investigação portuguesa. A RES Antiquitatis pretende contribuir para tal fim, ao publicar o trabalho feito por investigadores/as portugueses/as e estrangeiros/as, criando um canal comum para troca e discussão científica.

[EN] 2022 brings important news regarding RES Antiquitatis, the journal published by CHAM’s group “Antiquity and Its Reception”. From now on, the call for papers is permanently open. Feel free to send us your articles and/or reviews!

RES ANTIQUITATIS is an editorial project of the Centre for the Humanities (CHAM) that aims to become a space for interdisciplinary reflection and debate on Antiquity.

The project’s main scope is the publication of studies linked to several Ancient civilizations (Mediterranean, African, Asian), and the distinct ways through which Antiquity has been received, perceived, and conceptualized throughout time. This is done both for its intrinsic scientific value as well as for the belief that such endeavour may become, on the whole, a valuable conceptual device/equipment for the study of other periods and historical topics/questions.

RES Antiquitatis intends to promote the development of Ancient and Reception Studies in Portugal, being open to the scientific production of both established researchers and junior scholars. It will seek to highlight the research produced in and out of Portugal and, to that purpose, English, French, Spanish (Castilian), and Portuguese will be the main editorial languages. Internationalization is crucial to the affirmation of Portuguese research. Res Antiquitatis will contribute to that by publishing the work of both Portuguese and foreign scholars in these languages, thus becoming a common channel of scientific exchange and discussion.
