[PT] No princípio deste semana, no dia 14 de Fevereiro, vários casais de enamorados/enamoradas celebraram mais um dia de São Valentim!

Nas diversas geografias e cronologias da Antiguidade, foram várias as divindades tutelares do Amor. Esta semana partilhamos convosco representações de algumas das figuras divinas que foram associadas ao conceito muito amplo e algo indefinido a que chamamos “Amor”, nas suas diferentes facetas e expressões. De facto, importa não esquecer que, à semelhança de qualquer sentimento, emoção e/ou experiência humana, também o Amor não pode ser entendido como uniforme em todos os contextos e culturas, não sendo sequer igual dentro de um mesmo grupo social. Entre afectividade, cuidado e sexualidade, houve e há inúmeras formas de conceber, entender e vivenciar o Amor, por ventura, tantas quantos os indivíduos povoaram o mundo!

<3 <3 <3 [EN] Early this week, on the 14th February, several couples celebrated another Saint Valentine's Day! In the different geographies and chronologies of Antiquity, there were many deities somehow linked to Love. This week we share with you a few representations of divine figures that have been associated with the very broad, undefined and multi-layered concept we call "Love". In fact, it is important not to forget that, like any human feeling, emotion and/or experience, Love cannot be understood as uniform in all contexts and cultures, nor is it even equally experienced within the same social group. Between affection, care and sexuality, there have been - and still are! - countless ways of conceiving, understanding and experiencing Love, perhaps as many as the number of individuals who have inhabited this world!
